The Costa Brava and particularly Estartit are famous for their peaceful beaches and coves where you can enjoy incomparable landscapes. From the stretches of fine sand where you can relax and sunbathe, to the spectacular cliffs and coves all along the Montgrí Coast, here at Nautilus, we recommend the best beaches so you can round off your day with a refreshing dip.

  • Playa Grande in Estartit: a l3.5km long beach with fine sand, which is extending northwards every day because of the river which is constantly depositing sand and forming a breakwater. A peaceful place where you can sunbathe and relax, or scuba dive along the Costa Brava to discover the spectacular underwater world.
  • Cala Montgó: this cove is some 600m long and is the most important geographical feature on the Montgrí Coast. Located near l’Escala, it has one area for swimming and another area for watersports such as kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boat and scuba diving. Perfect for enjoying the Costa Brava with more peace and privacy!
  • Cala Calella: a small rocky cover surrounded by vegetation and cliffs that makes it a privileged place from which to enjoy the view of the Medes Islands. Only 30 minutes on foot from Estartit, it is a perfect mini-adventure for more adventurous types.

And … a bonus beach!

  • Cala Pedrosa: this small hidden cove, surrounded by pine trees and rocks, is just one hour away from Estartit. Scarcely 100m out to sea is Pedrosa Island, which you can swim to for some spectacular views of the Costa Brava.

Have fun on Estartit’s beaches!
